Empowering 40 Children Through Education Support in Wakiso District

At Kairos Building Bridges Organization, we believe that access to education is one of the most important foundations for creating brighter futures for children and communities.

In April 2026, as part of our ongoing education support programme, we provided scholastic materials to 40 primary school children we sponsor in Wakiso District, Uganda, to support them as they began their second term of the 2026 academic year.

The children supported included 30 girls and 10 boys, reflecting our commitment to ensuring that vulnerable and disadvantaged children have the resources they need to participate meaningfully in their education.

Supporting Children to Learn and Thrive

For many families, meeting the costs of basic school requirements can be a significant challenge. Lack of essential learning materials can affect a child’s ability to participate fully in classroom activities and may create additional pressure on families already facing financial difficulties.

Through this activity, Kairos Building Bridges provided scholastic materials to the sponsored children, helping them start the new school term better prepared and more confident.

The support was not only about providing educational materials. It was also an opportunity for our team to spend time with the children, encourage them in their studies, and remind them that their education and future matter.

Investing in Girls and Boys

Of the 40 children supported, 30 were girls and 10 were boys.

Supporting girls’ education is particularly important to our work because education can help girls develop confidence, broaden their opportunities, and participate more fully in the social and economic development of their communities.

At the same time, our programme recognizes the importance of supporting every child, regardless of gender, and works to ensure that both girls and boys have opportunities to learn and develop their potential.
