When Hadijah was young, her family was torn apart by domestic violence. Her father left, and she moved in with her single mother — a woman with no job and overwhelming poverty. For a time, Hadijah’s education stopped completely. School felt like a distant dream.
Through the church where her mother prayed, Kairos Building Bridges Organization Uganda found Hadijah and stepped in to help. The team took responsibility for her education and gave her something she had almost lost a chance.
Today, Hadijah is in Primary Five. She studies with determination and hope. Her dream is simple and powerful: to become a doctor, support her hardworking mother now a school cook — and serve others in her community.
Hadijah believes her future is possible. She just needs people who believe with her.
